The Way We Wore – 2000-2009
I’ve always thought that my generation’s style has been a bit hit and miss. Us Noughties girls are sloppy, we have no set ‘look’ and seem to latch on to random fads. Marie Claire have proved me wrong though, I totally forgot all of the style faux pas that have graced the covers of the fashion magazines, and become must-haves for my wardrobe over the past decade. From aged 14 to 24, I think I’ve ticked most of the boxes…
Hipster jeans: Still in my wardrobe. Feels a bit weird if they fit properly.
Combats with heels: All Saints (Appletons, not the amazing Spitalfields brand) have a lot to answer for.
Ugg boots: Wearing mine now. What, it’s cold!
Skinny jeans: A trend I was hoping would be short and sweet. Not so much, I’m still hoping.
I am proud however to say that the following never found their way into my wardrobe:
Velvour tracksuits, Timberland boots, Trucker hats, wet look leggings (this comes under the skinny jean category), bandanas (Victoria… really, i am ashamed).

Lauren Conrad
Lauren Conrad. I love her. Her loyalty, her diginity, her feminity. Her hair, the body and the style. The fabulous taste in shoes. The perfect curls.
It started back in 2005 with Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County. She took no crap, she wasn’t slutty and her friends meant the world to her. When The Hills came along, I fell in love. She just had the whole package (despite the rubbish men choices – PICK BRODY!).
I’ll be posting a lot more Lauren pics for style inspiration.
Cartier delight
This is on my Christmas list. Not the Cartier jewellery, the cub. In fact I’ve had this advert (torn out of Grazia) pinned up for a few weeks now and I haven’t taken a fleeting look at the jewels. What can I say, I’m a sucker for a big cat.
new shoes
ASOS boots
I’ve been looking for some ankle boots for a while. I needed some that are high enough so I could double them up under bootcut/slim legged jeans, and also also not look too awful with leggings or (dare I say it) skinny jeans. I really don’t have the legs for the skinny jean/ankle boot combo, but what the hey – I’ll give it a try.
ASOS promise that they will be with me on Wednesday so I wait anxiously in anticipation to see whether my £20 has been well spent. Merry Christmas to me!
